CBBVO In Loving Memory of Peter Heyes

Words cannot express the sadness we feel at the loss of our dear friend, Peter Heyes. For more than twenty years, Peter devoted his life to serving others, especially the people of Cambodia. He spent months each year helping those in need through book distribution, food programs, youth exchanges, peace-building initiatives, dental missions, support for orphanages, English education, scholarships for students going to schools and universities, and countless acts of kindness that often went unseen. Peter never sought recognition or praise. He simply saw a need and responded with compassion, generosity, and love. Because of him, thousands of lives were changed, countless young people received opportunities they otherwise would never have had, and many families found hope for a better future. Peter’s legacy is not found in buildings or awards, but in the hearts of the people whose lives he touched. His kindness crossed borders, cultures, and generations. We are forever grateful for his friendship, his servant heart, and his unwavering commitment to humanity. Thank you, Peter. Your life made the world a better place, and your memory will continue to inspire us for generations to come.

While education will always be CBBVO cornerstone, we also continue to make excellent progress with our other programs, including the (A Drop of Life)-supported Clean Water (ponds, toilets, food relief and school building construction at the Rovieng Village campus (CBBVO). As you will read, we have also recently completed the construction of buildings on our mission Through these CBBVO’s positive impact on the quality of life of our children continues to grow. The school journey has started on 29 November 2024 with myself Von Syden (Tiger) and Charles Anthony Gauci with his family (Australia) we are the land and CBBVO founders, It’s locted at Rovieng Village, Sranal Commune, Krolanh District, Siem Reap Province, Cambodia. It’s about 36 km from Angkor wat temple and Siem Reap city to the west.

CBBVO school and library building projects are stared on 14 March 2025 from fundraisning for both local and international donors. By fortunately, I thank to a great donors / Founders Mrs katie H Troung, Dr Duncan T Pham and their dharma families (USA), By fortunately I thank to a great donors / Founder Mr Charles Anthony Gauci and his family (Australia), They are stongly supported to donate funds to build school library. Your kindness is helping create a safe, bright future for so many children

First, We need to clear bamboo jungle.

Second, We need to fill up soil for over 300 trucks on lower land in order to keep away from rain flooding.

The third, School’s contruction started to build on 01 May 2025 and school opened the door to 117 villages children on 01 May 2026. it took almost a year to make a school due to climate change, rain etc. We also thank to compassionate guests / donors for building education to Cambodian villages children. Fortunately, 2014 I have met generous guests, Mrs Katie, Dr Duncan,. They are so kind and compassion people for long term as a supporters, donors to our charity mission and perspective of education for villages children and monks. Three Jewels blessing to them. We built pond for clean water to villagers and monks. We built Dharma Friends School for 100 children and monks. We continued to build Baby Bamboo School 2026 for 104 children.We had successfully done for over 1000 children for yearly food and school supplies, For now They have gone to secondary school. Year 2026, we have 104 more young generation at CBBVO educational center. I thank to katie and beautiful family for your generousity.

Fortunately, I met Mr Charles Gauci and his family 2023, he is a professor. they visited Angkor wat temple. He is very interesting to help villages children to give hope to their life, through education.
